Meet the Clinic: Victory Reproductive Care

Welcome to our Let’s all Talk’s ‘Meet the Clinic’ segment, where we introduce you to the leading clinics in the field of reproductive health from across the world. This week I had the pleasure of talking to some of the wonderful team at Victory Reproductive Care in Ontario, Canada. Led by their Founder Dr. Rahi Victory, Victory Reproductive Care are clearly passionate in helping individuals and couples on their journey to parenthood.

On meeting Dr Victory, he emphasised the importance of personalised care;

”We really strive to understand the patients, and understand their goals and their needs” said Dr. Victory, “then we tailor the treatment we offer to what they actually need.”

Megan Farmer, one of the IVF Nurses at the clinic, explained her role in the patient's experience; ”I facilitate the treatment with each patient. I am one of the main contacts and basically ensure that the care is appropriate the entire way.”

The clinic's commitment extends to their treatment protocols. Dr. Victory explains, "We don't immediately tell all patients to jump into IVF. We’ll frequently tell patients to consider doing IUI or to improve their diet or to improve their social habits. We really focus on making sure that the treatments that we offer are specific to the patients.”

Victory Reproductive Care is known for its advanced treatments and protocols. Dr. Victory attributes their success to a combination of factors, including the personalised care, advanced technologies, and a skilled team. Dr. Victory explains, "It starts at the very basic level of understanding the patient, applying all of the knowledge and the skills, making sure that we address their whole health, optimising sperm and egg quality, and utilising the newest and best equipment available.

Patients from the UK choose Victory Reproductive Care for various reasons. Megan Farmer shares, "I think the most important thing is that with our clinic, they're able to develop a relationship that is supportive. Having a nurse be the centre of your circle, facilitating your whole journey and for all-around support is most beneficial."

Throughout the process, Victory Reproductive Care ensures ongoing support for UK patients. Dr. Victory emphasises; ”We use every communications method necessary to ensure that we are constantly supporting our clients. Our nurses really developed friendships with our clients. We really go out of our way, attending to the patient's needs.”

But why would a UK resident choose Canada when you can stay home, or indeed travel to Europe for treatment? Well first off, traveling to Victory Reproductive Care from the UK is relatively easy, says Dr. Victory; ”Most people will either fly into Detroit, which is just 20 minutes away from us. Or they'll fly to Toronto and then it's just an additional one-hour flight from within the same terminal to get to us." The clinic then provides recommendations for accommodation, including hotels and Airbnb options. Megan Farmer adds, "There's lots to do around here! And the support of the clinic definitely does make a difference in their journey.”

The clinic's emphasis on individualised care and specialised treatments also attracts UK patients. Megan adds, "We offer a wide variety of testing for the immunological aspect of IVF or the embryo transfers, and listening to the past history of their IVF journey, then introducing new treatment for them for the success to occur.”

In terms of cost, Victory Reproductive Care says the overall expenses are comparable to those in the UK. Dr. Victory acknowledges that medication is cheaper in the UK, but assures the patients that they can access this locally.

For individuals and couples starting their fertility journey or those who have had previous unsuccessful treatments, Victory Reproductive Care offers personalised consultations. Dr. Victory encourages patients to reach out and schedule a consultation, stating, "The starting point would be to reach out and ask for a consultation. Find out about them, get their history. Design a care plan with those patients in mind and their goals and their needs.”

If you are considering fertility treatment, Victory Reproductive Care may be the right choice. As Megan Farmer advises, "Choose a clinic that's right for you. That you trust and you can develop a relationship with. Make sure that you're getting the best care that you can."

Dr Victory and his team will be joining us at this year’s Fertility Show. To find out more about him, and Victory Reproductive Care, get your tickets HERE now.
