Meanwhile Sophie, Show Host & Content Director, has written a blog post, sharing five of her top picks from last year’s show. Here’s an excerpt:

“Let’s be honest, Zita West is a fertility rockstar. She is a leading figure in the world of fertility, and her seminar on optimising fertility naturally was one of the highlights of last year.

Zita spoke about the critical role that lifestyle and nutrition play in both male and female fertility. She covered everything from the best foods to eat to support fertility, to the key lifestyle changes that can improve your chances of conception. Her approach focused on a holistic, well-rounded strategy to boost fertility, and she delves into how stress, sleep, and exercise all have a significant impact on reproductive health.

It’s always a joy to hear from Zita because she not only provides actionable advice but does so in a way that’s engaging, supportive and compassionate…”

Valentine's Day and Fertility

For couples struggling with their fertility, we recognise that Valentine's Day can heighten feelings of disappointment and stress. The day is often associated with societal expectations of romance, intimacy, and family, which can feel especially challenging for those facing a fertility struggle. Note: it is completely normal and understandable to feel this way.

However, Valentine's Day doesn't have to be defined by traditional expectations. This year, we want to encourage you to reimagine the day. Use it as an opportunity for self-love and reflection. Whether it’s through practicing self-care, nurturing your own wellbeing, or spending low pressure time with your partner (if you have one) and focusing on yourselves. Walk, bath, box set, nice food, good book, journaling, Galentines, spa day… whatever you need. This can have a positive impact and reverse the meaning of a (let’s face it) manufactured day for love!

Taking the time to care for yourself can contribute to a more positive mindset and more restful time.

Myths vs. Facts: Busting Infertility Myths

There’s no shortage of myths surrounding infertility, and The Fertility Show is passionate about separating the facts from the fiction. Each month we are going to highlight a new myth, and give you the truth from what we’ve learnt at The Fertility Show over the years.

February’s Myth vs. Fact:

❌ Myth: Stress prevents pregnancy

✅ Fact: While stress can impact overall health, it’s rarely the main cause of not getting pregnant, or infertility.

As we've learned from many years of The Fertility Show and through our Let's all Talk Fertility webinars, there is usually an underlying reason why a person may be struggling to conceive.

All patients - male and female - should undergo various tests to identify the root cause of the issue. Medical conditions, age, and lifestyle choices can all have a significant impact on fertility. Even in cases of unexplained infertility, there often is a reason that isn't related to stress.

As James Nicopoullos from The Lister Fertility Clinic  has shared with us in the past, often a diagnosis of unexplained infertility can stem from the male side, especially when a deeper analysis of sperm quality isn’t carried out or when fertility concerns are undiagnosed or overlooked.

At The Fertility Show, we’re here to help you navigate the truth about fertility with the most up-to-date information and expert advice.
